ASD Trade Show

The ASD trade show, which is one of the largest and one of the most diverse tradeshows in the industry, is every buyer’s dream—featuring everything from house-wares and jewelry, to apparel and electronics.

The ASD trade show arrives twice a year in Las Vegas, and over 40,000 people attended the show this August. One of the popular vender categories included: Style and Beauty, which encompasses fashion and accessories, health and beauty, arts and craft supplies, and travel accessories, just to name a few. Another category, Value and Variety, featured items such as: electronics and accessories, food and candy, camping and outdoor/sporting goods, and home appliances. The Gifts and Toy category was also a huge hit with buyers, featuring items such as branded items, kids’ toys, paintings, wall decorations, and seasonal products.

The trade show was so large that venders were located both in the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Sands Expo in The Venetian. Hundreds of buyers flocked from vender to vender, searching for the perfect products to sell in their stores. Several booths even had lines of people waiting to speak to the exhibitors. But as each buyer left the booth, they were grinning ear to ear about their happy new purchases, and about the great new profits that they would soon make in the weeks to come.

The Sands Expo seemed to draw in the most attendees, featuring apparel, cosmetics, sunglasses, jewelry, male enhancement supplements, tobacco pipes and products, energy drinks, and handbags and wallets, just to name a few. One such vender was selling a new energy drink called Tweaker, and offered samples for our staff to try. “We came out to ASD to make new connections. This is our 2nd one, (ASD trade show) and we picked up about 30 distributors from the last show,” Marketing Director Roy Mongelli, said.

He added, “I saw what the market was doing and I knew I could do something better—and I have. This product contains no calories, no sugar; the combination of the ingredients is so unique that it gives you an amazing feeling of well-being.”

“The stores are starting to reorder at an amazing number,” Mongelli explained. “I’ve been in the manufacturing industry for 10 years, and I’ve never seen anything like this.”

Mongelli’s excitement about their new product was evident and it was apparent that the ASD trade show would bring many new businesses together in the ever-successful international trade market. Both buyers and sellers alike should definitely take advantage of this wonderful show the next time it comes their way.
